Over 1,300 companies participates in the Mobile World Congress
The world's most important professional event dedicated to cutting edge mobile communications returns to Montjuïc. From the 15th to the 18th of February, the Mobile World Congress (MWC) presents the latest in technology, contents and products and also hosts a large number of conferences with the participation of international experts.
The 2010 Mobile World Congress features over 1,300 exhibitors (120 more than last year) an expects an audience of 47,000 visitors, including top executives from leading mobile operators, equipment vendors, IT companies and suppliers of mobile phone entertainment and services. Around 90 ministerial delegations from around the world are participating.
With the slogan "Vision in Action", international experts will debate the future of the sector, focusing on new business strategies and opportunities for growth; new broad band developments, the proliferation of applications, services and contents; and their contribution to society and the environment. The list of this year's guest personalities includes Queen Rania Al Abdullah of Jordan who will make a special presentation dedicated to Mobile Communications in Education.
The agenda also includes conferences with the leading mobile communications companies within the framework of App Planet and the 15th Global Mobile Awards which highlight excellence and innovation in different fields. Mobile World Congress is organised by GSMA, the association which represents around 800 of the world's mobile operators spanning 219 countries.
